Effect of Sodium Nitroprusside on the Growth and Enzymes Related to Nitrogen Metabolism of Melon Seedlings under Low Temperature Stress

In order to study the effects of 200 μmol/L SNP for 1, 3, 5, 7 d on growth and enzymes related nitrogen metabolism under low temperature stress 12/6℃, day/night, explore feasibility exogenous SNP regulating melon ( Cumumis melo.  L) seedlings, seedlings were used as experimental materials cultivated by substrate culture method. NO donor sodium nitroprusside (SNP) was sprayed leaves. The results showed that with prolongation stress, inhibited some extent. After treatment , (leaf area, shoot fresh weight root weight) contents nitrate nitrogen, free amino acid, soluble protein activities key (NR, NiR, GS, GDH, GOGAT AS) all greatly improved; ammonium accumulation H 2 O  and production rate superoxide anion radical (O - ) decreased dramatically. summary, application can effectively alleviate inhibition metabolism, enhance its tolerance. longer more obvious effect.
